Google is the best for this. Just goto http://www.google.com and type in the process name (i.e. explorer.exe would be the process name for your windows shell or zlclient.exe for your zone alarm firewall) and you will get results for it. I've done this PLENTY of times for a few suspicious processes or just for curiousity (i.e. if you want to kill a bunch of high end processes this is the way to go so you dont close something you need)

Hope this helps. :D

I have a site for you -
http://www.processlibrary.com/. The site is published by Uniblue
Systems, the people behind WinTasks Professional. Do a search for the process name or a DLL and you will get a full description (in English) of what the process is and any potential security risk. Can be quite useful, and Uniblue is in the business, so they keep it pretty up to date.

If you want this information right on your PC, check out WinTasks 5. It will help you identify your Windows processes, but also offer you fine-tuned control over them, and hence your whole PC.

Have you tried Process Library? It is a free online service to search for processes. It will give a description of what a certain processes does and even tell you if it is a genuine process or a malware (e.g. Trojan Horse). Just enter the name of the process and its file type extension (i.e. .exe or .dll) The link is: http://www.processlibrary.com/

There are a few sites out there where you can find that information. I've found liutilities.com to be helpful, with instructions on how to remove processes as well as explanations of what they are.

Your particular process (IAMAPP.exe) is an executable file associated with IncrediMail. I've also included a link (2nd one) below with details on that process.
