That's a good question! When I was at the local NPR affiliation, I was the token conservative. I wonder why those in media are so liberal.

Sorry, just not seeing that happening at all. The first thing I thought of was FOX news, a bastion for all things Republican and pro-Bush. Talk radio is dominated by conservatives. What do you call that? CNN is liberal based, from what I can tell, and there's the talk radio that Franken is on, but I really can't think of any others. I'm a moderate so I watch MSNBC for the most part. Chris Matthews is a registered Independent and the only truly unbiased moderator I can name. He gives everyone a hard time, no matter their party affiliation.

It may seem this way to you because the war is in such disfavor with a huge majority of the country and lately Republicans are screwing up right and left and that is news in any type of media. Are you really just looking for the media to simply ignore that?

Liberals dominating the media? I don't know what you're reading, watching or listening to, but I don't see a "liberal" bias in the media in the United States. Fox News isn't liberal. AM radio isn't liberal. And the rest of the networks, and most of the major newspapers are owned by large corporations that don't benefit from being liberal.
Journalists themselves have their own biases, and there are many of them who are "liberal". But their stories have to go through editors...and that's where the news gets sanitized.
Believe me: if our media would report what's *really* going on, we'd all be in for a rude awakening!! Our media's coverage of Iraq is so sterile compared to what they show on foreign-language networks, and I'm not talking about Arab news outlets!

I don't see this. I see that conservatives get just as much time if not more on the media. We are constantly bombarded with the views of the religous right who are about as disgusting as the word "liberals" you use so freely. The liberals are only dominating the media right now because the Republicans have finally had a sex scandal tossed back in their face for a change. My personal belief is that all politicians are out there to try and mislead us. Each factions will vie for as much publicity as they can get because most Americans buy the crap that is on TV without looking for the truth. We let the media shape our decisions.

I disagree with the premise of your question. Liberals, in my opinion, do not dominate the news media. From what I know, the news media is controlled by huge corporations, and their agenda is not at all liberal. By the way, have you ever watched Fox news? It's served as a mouthpiece and cheerleader for the Bushistas for most of the past six years.

Have you ever listened to talk shows on AM radio? They are dominated by right wingers.

I don't use the major media to gather my voting choices information. Primarily I'll start with the Secretary of State for my state and look at the statewide ballot. Then I check my ENTIRE ballot with Project Vote Smart. (my state is sos.mo.gov)

The Democrats and Republicans have run to the middle so much anyway and placated so many people with money, that there's not a thin dime's difference in their overall performance.

I applaud you if you are able to get more people to vote in the first place which will help diminish the power politicians have of buying groups' support with campaign promises.

For me, I vote third party only. You have more choices than you are led to believe. Remember to see ALL of the ballot choices in your district, go to Project Vote Smart. http://www.vote-smart.org. Good luck to you!

That's simply not the case; American media is not very liberal at all. Most of the major news networks are completely conservative. None of them would dare advocate left-wing policy, but the moment it's hinted on the rush is on to brand them 'liberal'.

to some this is a tough world, there is some seeing before believing sometimes, after a while entrepreneurs and those who posess respect and perception of outcome do rule in decisions regarding their own world, this is not domination, but action. There is some action intended to achieve desire, and this is not actually useful really to no one, you know it.
It is needed and intended that we all do our best and contribute to our sexual and social atributes to believe they are happening, thus is life, young aprentice. Bye.

I laugh every time I hear someone say that Fox News is an outlet for the Republican message and are "Bushistas". The hypocrisy in their statement is incredible.

They have the nerve to support and praise MIchael Moore, yet they whine and complain when ABC makes a movie that they don't like. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's the democrat hypocrisy these days.

If a news outlet reports a story that makes a republican look bad and the facts are correct, that's not liberal bias.
