Well, you have several choices. If you are able to sell your timeshare you will not get anything close to what you paid for it.
NEVER pay anyone up front appraisal money or
any fees when you are attempting to sell your
timeshare, no matter how much they promise they can
sell your timeshare for. Those companies are usually
in business to collect fees, and the timeshares are
never sold.
If you wish to list it, where you answer all the questions a good website that DOES charge a small fee is www.redweek.com. They charge less than $50 and they are pretty big. You will answer all the timeshare questions and deal with the public.
If you want someone else to handle the sale, then try www.timesharewholesalers.com as they only charge a commission AFTER the timeshare sells, and they handle the public. (if they will take it) This site was recommended to me.
If you just want out from under it, a quick way to sell is www.welovetimeshares.com . They pay practically nothing for the timeshare, but something is better than nothing. (if they will take it)
If you exhaust all those methods then the last stop I know of, is to donate the timeshare to charity. (if they will take it)

I hope this helps, best wishes on your sale.

You can put it up for sale on www.craigslist.com or www.kanonga.com If you register for KANONGA, please use affiliate code FL-003 when signing up. eBay charges to sell a timeshare but you also have to remember that whomever you list your timshare with, buyers will probably not give you what you want for it. For instance, a red week timeshare 2br/2ba say, in Orlando, FL is selling for approx $2500 at Westgate Resorts. Unfortunately, people get racked into buying a timeshare and then when you want to sell it, you won't get nearly what you are asking for it. Just be careful, timeshares are not all they are said to be as far as resale.

There is a company who advertises on TV to sell it for you or they will buy it themselves also. I don't recall the company name but if you do a little research online I'm sure it will come up.
It cost so much these days for newspaper ads it just isn't worth it. We have a magazine here in upstate NY that you can advertise for free and then pay a commission after the sale. A lot of folks from NYC invade us weekends so I'm sure you would have a good opportunity at getting calls. The magazine itself doesn't circulate in NYC so you have to depend on the weekenders but they're the one's with all the money and that's the people you need to have see the ad. Of course, NYS has a lot of wealthy people here all over so it might be worth a try. You can go to www.wantaddigest.com to place your ad.
