Friendly Hello, Dream Horse or High country Horses have an area where you can advertise your equipment at no charge. But you can not display a photo. I would not recommend ebay as it sells really reasonable there. I bought on ebay new equipment for a pony there and it was really affordable. You might want to check with your county 4-H extension office. Many counties have 1-2 4-H sales and you can rent a space and set up your equpment there offering for sale Blessings, Kelly

I don't know of any sights that advertise for free. Try googling "free advertising websites" and see what you get. I don't know what e-bay charges to use their services, but that may be a good alternative to a newspaper. E-mail me at escapingmars@yahoo.com and let me know what you are selling and how much. I am always on the look out for good deals on horse tack.

Good Luck and Take Care

P.S. Maybe you would be willing to split the shipping cost with me.

Use sites with advanced searching. With Dreamhorse, I narrow down to almost everything I could want and come up with 5 or 6 good prospects. Try using different sites! Also get the word out at your barn, tack shops etc that you are looking for an easy going first horse. Its amazing who people know :)

I have looked on e-bay and also tacktrader.com, which has a direct link from dramhorse.com (a great place to advertise a horse for sale). Also, you can sell tack on equine.com.

Try your local newspaper. They usually run freeads - and they usually have an online presence. For instance, here in Kent you can advertise with KentOnline. Your advertisement is free and it appears both in the newspaper and online. Well worth doing - and you catch local people so don't need to worry about shipping costs.
