I've just knitted a cape on 12mm pins with chunky wool, I'd love to finish it with a large knitted flower but can't find a pattern for chunky wool. Can anybody help?

Start with just a few (3 or 4) stitches. Increase in every stitch on every row until the width of the petal is what you want, knit to the size you want, then decrease in every stitch down to where the petal looks a good shape. Cast off. Knit several of these and put together to make a flower. Add stamens in the centre. Vary the colour on the petal edge to give a different look if you like. Once you've worked out what you want, it would probably be better to reverse the pattern by starting with the number of stitches you cast off and working back to the number you cast on as the outside edge would be neater, if you see what I mean. Hope this helps!

Put your chunky wool in some compost, water and leave in direct sunlight, im sure it will grow into a nice flower
