i was thinking of wearing my pyjama's and wearing my pj bottom up really high and holding them up with suspeders. then i was thinking of wearing a wig and painting my face but i have no clue how to paint my face and tell me if what im deciding to wear is too gay or not...?

Well, you came to the right person. I have a collection of over 400 clowns in my bedroom alone. So, I guess you could say clowns are my specialty.
Get a mental picture of how you want to look, and go with that image.
I think depending on the type of clown you wish too be, you could get some really big sunglasses, and white face paint. Put the white face paint all over your face, then put big circles of red on each cheek. Also, put a big outline of red all around your mouth with your lips done in black.
As for the outfit? You could get a multi-colored wig at any dollar store and wear that, and your clothes could consist of: your pj's with suspenders and a big, baggy shirt almost tucked in all the way in those pj's with the suspenders. You want the appearance of a raggedy looking clown. So, don't tuck the shirt in all the way. Like put the shirt on and then the pj's , then the suspenders. Don't forget your big shoes, or shoes without shoe strings. so that they flop around.

I was a clown a couple of years ago and what I did was...
I got a "disco afro" and spray painted it and it looked like a clown wig kinda, and then paint ur face white and make marks on it like however u want, red on the cheeks is a good feature, if u wanna be scary then like make the afro bloody and bloody face, etc. But back to the non-scary clown, yea, afro, painted face, and dont forget ur suit! your pj's are a good idea...maybe wear those an d like a tie or somethin? but dont forget ur big floppy shoes!!!! you could buy those at a local costume store, or like wal-mart, etc.

Before you put on your make up, put good face moisturizer on first so you're make up will come off easier. Get white "clown make up" and paint your whole face white. Then paint your eyes. Just draw geometric shapes over each eye, like diamonds, but use a primary color. If you have a fake nose, don't paint one. If not, just put a red circle on your nose. Make you mouth really large with red paint. Then, outline everything in black. If you have finishing spray, put it over your make up so it lasts all night.
To remove your make up, use astringent, like Clean and Clear. Put a little on a cotton pad, and it will take a lot of your make off, and then wash your face with your regular soap.
