Depending upon the type of job you are applying for, it's good to have a couple of types of resumes with very detailed information pertaining to what you are applying for. There is the Skills resume which emphasizes your special skills for that job, the Chronological, and Functional resumes as well.

There are a number of good sites to visit, the library is a wealth of information. I just bought one from the discard section of our local library "The Complete Idiot's Guide to the Perfect Resume" and it contains electronic resume information.

There are also excellent software programs to help you create professional resumes/cover letters with templates.
Type in the word "job search, resume information" etc.

Remember, do not solely rely upon spell check as it will not pick up the right synonym, antonym or homonymn. Use your eyes for proof positive mistake proof information.

Wishing you well in your job search. I'm in the same boat right now.
