This is a can with a wide mouth that a hose screws into. I've never used one of these before. Do you have to raise the can and tip it or is there some way to pump it?

This is a black can with a 4" wide mouth and a rubber hose that screws into the top. It's pretty big - holds five gallons. The top leaks if you tip it, and it's pretty big for me (being a wimpy woman) to lift. Is there some way to pump it, or some special way to tip it so it doesn't leak?

The jug is made by Western Power Sports:

I was able to get it up and tip it without spilling after all. It's pretty heavy though. Thanks for any assistance.

The link didn't work for me, but I believe I know what you're working with.

Is the can basically a large cube? Square on the bottom, with a handle molded into the top, the spout is a large knurled cylinder, with a clear rubber hose coming out the top?

In most cases, filling a bike or ATV with a full 5-gallon gas can is tough by yourself, even for a strong guy. If it's full, you'll need a partner to hold the hose.

If it's half full or less, then you can do it by yourself. Have a rag handy in case of spills. Lift the can up, then reverse your grip (thumb facing down) so that when the can is pointed down towards the tank, your hand is upright and has the best control possible.

You'll need to use your shoulder to support the can, your left hand to direct the hose, and your right to tilt the can. Be sure to have the vent open. As the tank starts to get full, start tipping the can back down early, since more fuel will flow out of the hose even after you've tipped the can down. Be sure to keep the hose in the tank until all the fuel is out of the hose.

Go ride!

LMAO. You have to tip it, or you could set it higher than than the car and use a siphon hose.

If you could post a link that will show what it looks like, someone will be able to explain how to use it.
