Beneficial refers indirectly to benefits.

So, if you worked at a job, and you got a 401k plan, a company car, 30 days off a year etc...those would be some good benefits.

Chatting with your friend, you might say, "I have some really good bene's" at work.

It's pronounced in slang like "pennies" but with a "b".
