Once I signed up for a domain name online, when is it available? Is it activated immediately?

It's activated immediately but it takes 24-48 hours to be propogated to all dns servers world-wide. I've activated domains and have had them active within an hour others have taken 10-12 hours

It's yours immediately, but it usually takes 24 hours to get registered with the DNS servers worldwide.

yah its true..
mostly, it should be activated w/in 24hrs
