Hi!

Was anybody else cringingly embarassed by Rita singing Bring Me Sunshine on last night's Corrie?!!

I swear this programme is getting to be THE best comedy with every passing episode!

It's yet another case of why don't the people around 'Rita' say "sorry love, but you're gonna look a right divvy if you go with that scene".

Now I suppose everyone thinks that all the Northerners do is go to funerals and have morbid sing songs in some back street pub all the time.

After all, in every pub in the East End, no night is ended without a rendition of Roll Out The Barrel, is it?!

It was sooo awful - she couldn't sing in her hey day and she certainly isn't any better now. Talk about Roll Out the Barrell - were you referring to Rita - have you seen the size of her from the side? While we are on the subject, have you ever been at a funeral where they have a big picture of the deceased in front of the coffin? Those teeth of Fred's were enough to give anyone a heart attack!!

I think everyone on here so far should be ashamed of themselves (including the person who asked this question). I know its only a TV show, but how would any of you like it, if people to the p1ss out of someone's singing at a funeral for one of your loved ones.

It was a moving tribute. I'm not saying the Barbara Knox is the greatest singer in the world, but she doesn't proport to be. She is a highly talented actress and I found it to be a lovely end to a trgic storyline.

I think the best comedy moment was when they had to give Freds coffin bit of a shove because it got stuck on the conveyor belt!! Pure genius!! -
You are right though, Rita singing was very cringworthy!!!

Totally awful! And how come nobody from anywhere other than the street came to the funeral - what about the square dealers? Surely he knew people from other parts of the town, or even loyal customers?!
