Renunicate everything? Hummmm. I think Valentines is a sweet and fun thing. You could make it anytime of the year, any day, any month... but most don't create that setting for a sweet (although commercialized) romantic time except on February 14th.
Its fun for kids and adults alike.
I'm afraid I can't remember the last time I received a heart shaped box of candy...but I would smile if I did.
Its a simple holiday. Have fun and make someone your Valentine this coming February. As always, red, white and pink........flowers, candles, hearts, cupids and candy....
What could be complicated with something this affectionate? Its not a "deep" holiday.
p.s.
"I love you and will you be mine"? (ha-ha)

Originally Valentines day was St. Valentines day, a catholic holiday, celebrating the death (Martyrhood) of St. Valentine. It has since been commercialized into ST. Valentines day. And it is not always synonymous with love. I believe the Valentines day Massacre occured in chicago between two rival gangs.

If you are in love, it's a symbol of love. If you are not, you'll come up with every reason in the world to downplay the holiday.
