I know that everyone learns at different rates, but I just wanna know a ball park. How long did it take you? I can sing; does that make a difference?

Easy. My fingers are a little on the short side, and I can still tear it up.
Just took a LOT of time though. Countless hours in the bedroom(self taught).
With a teacher, I imagine it would be a piece of cake.

My sister has been playing the guitar for about a year, she's pretty good but she can really do real songs. It'll only take a few years to get really good. And since you can sing you could start a band.

Singing doesnt make a difference. You can pick up a simple song in a couple hours. I did. Tabs arent hard to read and its simple to teach yourself.
Getting good though takes some skill and a teacher.

Singing makes no difference, no. How hard it is doesn't really matter if it's something you really want. If everything were easy we'd all be doing things that we aren't. I love picking at my guitar. Good luck to you.

Learning guitar takes alot of patence and practice dont give up it takes awhile to get your hand musles strong enough. I have played for 7 years and i still get frustrated!! just take it one step at a time dont let it overwhelm you!! LEARN ALL THE MAIN CHORDS FIRST (A
