At this stage, it is too early to tell if the Saints are a playoff contender. There are other playoff contenders are fighting for playoff spots. They could win the division and home field advantage. Seahawks, Cowboys, Eagles, Chicago, Saints or NY Giants could be in the playoffs. Chicago is a good team this year, either Seahawks or the Saints will be the divisional playoff contenders.

They are not a playoff quality team, although they will make the playoffs. They will let down later in the season, because of their new coach, and the fact that the emotional "playing for the sake of New Orleans" feeling will wear off, and their lack of condidioning, coaching, and talent will wear through. They are still a fairly good team, with alot of potential, but this year I would be suprised if they got past the the Wild Card round.

After the big win over Philly last week I'm sure a lot of people will say yes BUT there is still a long way to go and the toughest part oftheir schedule is still down the road. Baltimore, at Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, at Atlanta, at Dallas, at NY Giants, and Carolina (who already beat them once). If they do make it to the playoffs they will have defintely earned it.

they looked good against my boys, but we made mistakes in that game like we made in the giants game (meaning we should be 6-0, but that's another story). i think they'll be a wild-card just because drew brees is a quality qb, and even if one of their stellar rbs goes down, they still have the other. but again i see them going to the playoffs but getting wiped off the face of the earth by whoever they face. next year might be different depending on offseason moves and the draft. still, GO EAGLES!

Are you asking about the Saints or the Giants? The Saints probably will make the playoffs, the Giants probably won't.

they are no doubt a lay off team, reggie bush will only get better, brees mcallister and horn are also dominate. So yeah, playoff team but like the other guy said, superbowl, no way.
