Honey, if falling down the stairs would get rid of babies we would not need all the abortion clinics and desperate teenage girls would be sporting broken arms and legs! I do not mean to make light of your concern, I can tell that it is genuine. I am just trying to reassure you that only on soap operas do pregnancies end because of a fall down the stairs. Nature has done a beautiful job of insulating the baby. Think of it this way ( it was explained this way to me by an OB that I thought the world of). Imagine a balloon that you have filled with water. Now drop something inside so that it floats inside that water. Toss it down the stairs. Do you damage whatever was floating in the water? No way. In the same way nature has protected your baby. Unless the accident is serious enough to rupture your membranes or to damage you internally in some way, a trip down the stairs is not going to do any damage.
You know, the little spots of blood could have been caused by the ovum burrowing down into the lining of the uterus. Some women say that they notice a tiny bit of spotting around that time. It would occur almost a week after your ovulated. There are many reason that one would have a small amount of spotting early on in a pregnancy, they do not mean that anything is wrong.
As I have said before if you want to really know for sure whether or not you are pregnant, call and ask your doctor to order a blood test for you. They are accurate quite early and they are virtually 100% accurate. Or, if you get a negative on an at home pregnancy test ( which can be a false negative) call and see if your doctor will order the blood test.
Blessings to you and your baby. If you think of it I would really love to hear what you find out, I will be thinking of you.

If you are pregnant nd you fell i think your baby will be safe because your baby is not big enough to really be hurt yet you know what i mean? like if you were like 8 months then you might want to be a little concerned but the baby is like the size of a seed right now so if you are pregnant then just tell your doctor and see what he says but if you stress about this then the stress might hurt baby a little bit so just chill and take a breather! GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS!

you and baby are probably fine, but you should inform your doctor about the fall, and spotting (old blood since it was brown),after you confirm that you are pregnant you may want to have an ultrasound to calm down your fears. Its not uncommon to have a little spotting early in the pregnancy.
