i can not find a gold st. christopher for less than $40 please help me 4 x-mas for a friend if u could give me a web site that would be great!

Are you looking for a medal and a gold chain?

I did a quick Yahoo Search (St. Christopher Medals) and got several hits. Give that try and see if you get some results that fit within your budget.
