Is there a good site for thrift stores and garage sale tips?

Question

Looking for a forum or site that contains info and tips about buying online and from thrifts, tips for finding things at garage sales, etc.
Hopefully something a more than just the basic stuff.....Thanks in advance!

I go to auctions, garage sale, and thrift stores and can give my tips.

1st know what you're going to buy costs new. You'd be surprised at how many people who will buy sometime used and spend as more or more then it costs new. (seen it too many times at auctions)

2nd Check for defects. Breaks chips cracks, etc.

3rd Make sure you need it or can used it. Don't just buy something because it's cheap.

4th if you're really looking for deals, look for the oddball in the group. Ex. The garage sale said lots of cloths, but they have a lawnmower there you might get a good price on it because most people as looking for cloths.

5th go early and go back late too. Shop early to get the best selection, and if there's some you'd like to have but to too pricey stop back by just before they close if its still there make an offer.

6th don't be afraid to make an offer the worst they can say is no.
