How do you get a laptop off of standby?

I set my computer on standby and now I can't turn it back on.It won't come on.

Try pressing the power button once to wake it up. That works for mine.

Depending on your OP (windows 98,2000,xp) sometimes it won't come on due to faulty setting (manly 98) try to switch the power button and give it a few seconds look at the hard drive light if it flickers it may come good again.

Right click on destop select properties->select screen saver->system standby option there->select never option.
