The news that melissa ertheridge and her equally female partner have welcomed twin babies into the world makes me feel sad, instead of joyful, something just seems a little off here.

I think that it also seems a little bit off to me too. We weren't created to be with the same sex I think.

" To each his own" Why should you be sad over someone else's joy? This is 2006. Those children have 2 loving parents, and will never want for nothing. That's more than a lot of children in this world get. Are you a perfect parent? If yes. Good for you. Keep up the good work. God Bless you. What we should all be sad about is the children that don't have parents. Don't know where their next meal will come from. Or have anyone to care about them. That you can be sad about.

I don't know if there's anything wrong with you. People react in so many ways to news like this and there could be a million reasons for that... Maybe you're just not used to same sex couples having babies?
I know quite a few people that are or were raised by same sex couples (I'm fortunate enough to live in an openminded country).
Let me assure you that they have turned out to be very normal, well-adjusted people (incidentally, none of them are gay themselves).
I hadn't heard the news of Melissa Etheridge and her partner before, but I'm very happy for them.
It's wonderful to hear that they have found new joy after Melissa Etheridge's struggle with breast cancer! To me it's proof that life can go on after a cancer diagnosis :-)

Sick. Thats what the world has come to in the name of rights. Nobody cares how the children will turn out.
The best of people with the highest moral standards can't adopt if one or both are considered too old.
Who knows how long anyone will live?
With same sex couples they call it discrimination if you refuse.
You have a set of moral standards and get a bunch of catcalls from jokers on this board that go with the flow.
Very sad indeed.

Well it's not what people would call "traditional", but those little babies are going to be loved and cared for by loving parents.
