I have made a comment that was true but, now I feel guilty because the recipient of the comment is not emotionally strong and unable to handle it. My husband says to be more compassionate. Have you ever felt bad for doing something like that and how did you handle it?

Telling the truth wasn't wrong, so I feel no need to apologize for that. I feel a little guilty because maybe I should have realized how emotonally unstable and volatile this person is. Guess my husband was right but, who ever thought this person was that bad? Was not my intent to harm, just to be truthful. So, I have nothing to 'repent' for.

At times my straight true comments did hurt someone and that made me upset for a while, but at the end of the day, I managed to calm down thinking that I didn't do a crime afterall.

True guilt is accompanied by repentance. Repentance means your sorry and you will not do it again.

Maybe you feel guilty because you get a little too much pleasure out of it.
