Why does John Kerry need this money from his ill-fated presidential campaign in 2004? Is he opening a chain of Waffle Houses?

Could be he is planning on running for the presidency in 2008. Or he needs the money for his next senatorial run. His wife is one of the richest women in the world. Personally, I can't think why he needs any money. Me, I would retire and live off the wife's billions.
