Exorcist isnt a very scary movie, i think the scariest movie is the haunted its a true story

I would have to agree with you...The Exorcist.

At the time it was the scariest of all time.
Now the movies hardly have that punch to them anymore.

I did enjoy Brahm Stoker's Dracula very much, with Gary Oldman.....that will be a classic. This movie is more intense than scary but still very well done.

I think we have really become desensitized to horror flicks.
The greatest films are the ones that play with your mind. Scary faces or scary monsters hardly do it anymore.

An oldie that I haven't seen since I was a little kid: "The people under the stairs". Scared the heck out of me. How about the "Silent Night Deadly Night" series. Saw those at the drive in even.

I also love "Thirteen Ghosts".

Oh and watched silent hill the other night and it scared the **** outa me, those barbie things at the end with no faces that moved to the light of the torch ahhhhhhhhh!

I agree with you although at the time Nightmare on Elm Street came out that was pretty scary too
