Many moons ago I had trouble with the higher power system and using the word God. I grew up as a Catholic and was raised to fear Him. So I guess I resented the notion of a God. Then a good friend of mine tried to break it down to me in simple terms. He suggested that I use either Good Orderly Direction or Go On Drinking. I choose option 1 and have used this belief for over 29 years now.

No, I do not believe there is a God or a Higher power other than the combined consciousness of all living things, some might consider that God, I do not. I am inclined to think that a belief in God is directly related to ones need to be acknowleded by a higher power which I believe is a form of vanity. Despite my feeling in this regard, I do respect and appreciate "faith" unless it leads to a curtailment of individuality and a disrespect for someones right to believe and live as they please.

A little exercise in basic abstract logic.
If there is a God and you believe:
You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
If there is a God, and you do not believe:
You have nothing to gain, and everything to lose.
The lake of fire is a hell (no pun intended) of a place to spend eternity.
Hell of a price to pay for a faulty belief system; if you are wrong. Wouldn't you agree?
Is the risk really worth it if you are wrong?
It's your choice. . . . . . .Deal. . . . . . .or. . . . . . .No deal.
Like I said, just a little exercise in logic and hard core reality

Yes!!! Religion is the key difference, if one would toss out the religion factor then the majority of people would agree to what I am about to say - "Life and all that is around us is above our understanding. The genius and perfection of everything from the cycle of life, the function of what makes life work, the major diversity of how man differs from all other life, and how everything depends on one another to work. My main point is how all it all started. All this could not have just evolved or began from nothing. There had to be some outside force or an intelligence far greater than our understanding which designed it all. Its just to perfect to began from nothing." Another point I would like to bring up is Man's purpose on Earth. If we look at all that is around us, especially Animals - We see that each life has a purpose in the wonderful cycle of life and they all are dependent on one another to make this perfect cycle work/survive. However, humans are the one life that doesn't belong. We are the only life which is more so like a virus, We just don't belong in this perfect cycle because all we bring to this table is destruction. Also we are the only form of life out there that can't be explained where we come from. I know evolution right - Nope because of that Gap between human and Ape, that missing link which can't be found - We have evidence from the beginning to the current but somewhere in the middle a huge separtion from this evolution exist and is unexplainable. Another fact, Evolution vs Creation - Yes evolution is true and all life has evolved, even us. I perfer to call it adaption because life is so perfect that over time will adapt to what is around to be able to survive, IE Fur, larger teeth, gils and so on. Time, thousands of years these adaptions take place and alter the lifeform so it can survive in its area. Also we see this in humans. Compare an Africian to and Asian, middle eastern to say a European. We see the differences in color of skin, wider noses, slanted eyes, body hair, muscle mass. Like skin color is all about pigmentation, darker skin in harsh climates in the sun, wider noses to be able to breath better, slanted eyes to deal with the fierce cold/wind, stronger muscle masses and bones to deal with the predators like those found in Africa compared to say what is found in England. All life evolves/adapts to survive but to say Humans evolved from ape is crap. We differ so much and just don't belong. Apes have a purpose to the cycle of life, what is Man's purpose....We have none, all we do is hurt this cycle and ultimatly will destroy this cycle.
To conclude, All people unless they are just plain ignorant have to agree to this simple idea -- Something is out there that is so far from our understanding with an intelligence so great we can't even grasp it. Something had to design this because we know something can't just come from nothing. No one explain this but we all have to agree that there is something out there that is above our understanding which created all this. Religion is the only factor that causes these debates, people decide not to believe in the doctrine because the feel its man made or whatever. Also if we look at all religions out there we can see they all believe in some form of deity(s). They base there beliefs on a higher power out there, a power/life far above our understanding which we all classify as GOD in some form. I guess this is my best explaination to it all, now we take these simple little facts and choose which religion we base our faith on. Even those who don't believe in a doctrine or religion/deny IE Aethist will all agree to what I mentioned above- Something is out there we don't understand and is behind the perfect design. I like to argue this with anyone who has different views because they all agree with the points I made in this blog. I don't try to force my faith onto anyone, I don't hate other religions or say ohhh you are stupid and you will burn in hell - I just argue the fact that this all could not have came to be from simply nothing, that it is so complex and perfect that it had to of been designed by something with an intelligence. You can no way argue that or deny it. What we choose to believe in our faith or religion is our choice. But to say or deny that this all began from nothing just is an iggnorant statement. Okay im done -
