They stand for big government and high taxes, remember? And whether or not they can govern is a matter of opinion... ;-)

Your concerns are unwarranted. The Democrats have a platform. Some of their issues are good, some are not so good. There are enough moderates in both parties to stop the not so good issues from being enacted.
Governing a country doesn't require standing somewhere on issues. The country would be so much better off if we sent independents to Washington with no agenda other than to manage the countries affairs, balance the budget, and streamline the government.
The problem with political parties is that they have agendas. Agendas always cost the taxpayers money.

They can do a helluva lot better than the Republicans. What have they accomplished other than rubber-stamping everything that Bush wants? And that includes his little war where Americans are dying every day. Time to bring the troops home. Time for a fresh start.

I'm really worried about that one. And if they win, just how much damage will they do? People are too busy being partisan to SEE that we actually could fall. These rogue nations with nukes and the terrorists, COULD ACTUALLY BRING US DOWN ..IF THE DEMS WIN and DON'T TAKE A MUCH STRONGER STAND. I think this next couple years is going to be a brutal struggle!!

What it will do in essence is provide checks and balance to the government, one party rule is not working very well now is it. George Bush needs to be held accountable for the many lives that are lost in a war that was started from his lies, and misdirection. Democrats will put this at the top of their agenda and if the just accomplish that it will be a successful session of congress.

The theory is "By the people For the people" Not by the Plutocrats for the elite.
I'm sorry if your disillusioned by leadership concepts. But Americans are the leaders and the Government is our employees.
The Media has turned this on it's head claiming Government Leadership at every opportunity. As if politicians were celebrities.

I don't think democrats stand for anything, I think they just stand around looking stupid because they have no idea what's going on.

They can try, but their governing will be anything but fair and just for those of us who still believe in the American way of life.

In my mind, standing for nothing is no worse than the republicans standing for the rich & big business....they both stand for illegal immigrants over middle-class Americans... that is the crime both parties embrace!
