What I mean to say, is given his philosophy on questioning (the Socratic method if memory serves me correct) how would he feel about a website that allows asking questions?

Socrates liked to ask one question after another, to challenge his students and to see where their thinking took them. He seldom laid out any truths of his own. I don't think he would like the one-question, then wait a long time for a dozen know-it-alls to pronounce their self-important wisdom. The lag between questions and the flightiness of the answerers would be too great to suit him.

I don't think he's want to spend much time on such a site. He would quickly lose patience with the sheer amount of rubbish posted here.
Also, someone mentioned the format would displease him. I think that's right. The one question - one answer format would not suit the Socratic method. The idea is to find what's wrong with the answer.

There's no socratic dialogue here, no interchange-- it's simply spam. Socrates would see bickering women and slavish droves of peurile minds and leave.

What person here is noble enough to address a real philosopher?
Maybe 5 of thousands. Must we sift through you all to make room for our tete a tete? Or would you be so kind as to keep your brawny mouths closed while you till our fields.

Since the Socratic method is interactive, I think he'd find it frustrating. What I'm sure he'd go for though is a live chat-room.

It would be too speculative to think about it.... I feel it fair to think of what a person would feel, only if the person , in my assessment is about the same as my level of perception, .... and to me I am no where near Socrates, who is the peak of wisdom !

Good question, Hambone. He would like it because of the nature of the question and multi-response format, I think, BUT he would despair about the general level of the most of the questions...
