everybody gets scared @ least once while watching a horror movie. just remember that they r actors & all that crap about them being filmed. & most of the stuff in horror movies is just made up by some wacky director so it will never happen 2 you. if u really get scared easily DO NOT STAY HOME ALONE 2 WATCH THEM! especially not @ night. like u said, it makes it worse. its OK 2 cover yer eyes in a scary movie. heres another tip that helped me: if u have a friend who likes 2 laugh a lot bring them 2 c the scary movie with u. then u can laugh @ all the stupid & scary stuff & it will take yer mind off of how scary it is. thats what i do. GOOD LUCK WITH OVERCOMING YER FEAR!!!

Almost no movies scare me. Although sometimes they get under my skin. House of 1000 corpse actually scared me a little when it showed Dr. Satan.

If you can't watch scary movies then watch comedies, action or drama.

Try to focus on the beauty of the characters and try to understand the strategy that the director uses to scare people. Try not to use the scary scenes in logical thinking, otherwise you will be scare of your surrounding. There are usually some fake stuffs(eg. bad make up, fake flesh, suck actors, etc...) in the movie so you can use that to laugh at the producer lol... Scary movie only can mess around with your two sense Sighting and Hearing, that is nothing; actual experience can mess around with all your five senses lol that will be more scary.

Some people can't tolerate scary movies. You shouldn't have to see them if they frighten you that much. You can't stop the way you feel so why torture yourself? Go see a movie together that you will both enjoy.

When there's a scary part in the movie, either skip it or hide behind a pillow

well watching it on your own can only make it worse
just tell yourself its not real
and i think that you should just hold ur bf hand when you get scared he will think this is more cute than walkin out and the more you watch out with ppl the easier it will get but scary films are ment to scare you
good luck babe
