i want to get my bellybutton pierced,but my mom wont let me. im gonna get it done sooner or later,but i want 2 know if its gonna hurt.I also want to get my cartlige pierced,but i havent asked my mom yet.

I've never had cartilage pierced but have been told it hurts. When I got my belly button pierced I didnt even know it when he did it. They pinch the skin in a clamp and it has a numbing affect. It got somewhat sore afterwards, but nothing that was intolerable.
Everyone has a different level of pain tolerance. What is excrutiating to one is tolerable to another. Others here talk about the bellybutton hurting, I didnt think so. Only you know your tolerance for pain.

My belly button piercing didn't hurt, but I was rather buzzed at the time.
The cartilage DID hurt though, because ...well. Its not like skin. Its cartilage. Thicker and stuff. So yeah. Ow.

Belly button doesn't hurt much, but I heard that cartiladge hurts like a mother. My mom made me do my belly button when I was 14, but made me take it out about a year later. Just be glad your mom's not whacko like that.

Cartliage hurts during the piercing, and later.

Belly button didn't hurt (felt like my ears)
Cartlidge will hurt! No way to sugar coat that one!

They will both hurt...and remember...cartlage will never grow back.
