I have an RX-8 with the 18-inch aluminum wheels. I have a problem with keeping air in one of the rear tires. The tires are almost bald and I am replacing them next year. If I use a can of fix-a-flat, will that do any damage to my tire pressure monitoring system in the valve stem? It will be stored for the winter and not sure what to do. I just don't want it sittting flat all winter!

i think, it's not good idea to use fix-a-flat. if it will be stored(garage) i can use jack stand or brick ,to let it stay for winter. or u can put spare tire(u should have this).

The only time I would use 'fix-a-flat' is if I were stranded in a snow storm and freezing to death. Also, on a deserted road in the desert with nobody around. DO NOT put fix-a-flat in a tire unless it's an emergency!

You should get Good Year tires.

I would just toss the spare tire on there and call it good. Save your $3.49.
