This is related to specifically n 72 mobile phone, one of friend replaced his n 72 with sony ericsson k 780i. I am interested in buying n 72, plz help.

It is not that sony phones always hangs. Its just that the N series phones from nokia runs the Symbian Operating System. They do take a while to run and sometimes, if loading multiple applications, they do hang.
If you run 1 application or at most 2 at a time, it normally is ok.
If you can, the N73 is a much better phone and you are not paying a lot more. It also has a more stable symbian platform.

I have N70 for 2yrs and using it almost like a PC. (I have Excel, word, pdf reader,img viewer, IM messenger,anti-theft sw,torch). If people say that phone hangs or error it probably means a virus. As in any PC you should have a Anti-Virus sw or carefull while installing new applications. (Nokia after-sales service is good)

All phone hangs..
Not only Nokia..
Specially the new tehnology right now that Nokia used Its hard to stabilize..
That is why Nokia calls their N-Series Multimedia Computers!
You xpect too much! Ive had so many phones!! All of them hanged on me! SE, Nokia, Samsung, Moto, etc..

Nokia always hanged, try sonyericsson specifically the K780i its a great phone and its camera is brilliant
