I am a straight married man but I think that people are born homosexual. Of course there are always those who choose to be so they can experience different things but I believe the majority are born this way. Most gay people talk about the fact that they always felt different even as children. I think if it was a choice, most would choose to be straight. There are too many battles for gay people to fight for it to be a choice.

Let's call it what it is. It's a human condition. We're not spending millions trying to figure out why people are straight, or if there is a gene responsible for heterosexuality, so why do the same with homosexuality? Can't we just understand it is part of the human condition? Blue eyes are, quite frankly, a genetic defect and blue eyed people have more difficulty with their eyes, but society has found a way to not only celebrate blue eyes, in fact for some it is seen as a standard of beauty. Whether there is genetic, societal, experiential or other reason for homosexuality, it really wouldn't be such a bad thing to simply see it as a part of the global human condition, part of humanity as a whole, and come to terms with the fact that it's part of us.

Hi, I'm Sassyoldbroad and I'm a hetero. (sounds like a 12 step program)
I have read many articles on homosexuality; seen many documentaries, have gay friends and I truly believe we are born with a sexual preference. This is nothing new . In some ancient cultures homosexuality was accepted and considered a gift. However, I also believe that immature people can be swayed by experimentation or even abuse; and they give it a name..."bisexual". If that person is basically hetero and decides to walk on the wild side a while, they may find that it's alot easier to deal with their own sex. Hey, it doubles your chances for a date, right? We just make too much of something that is natural for some folks. Godloveya. Great question.

Homosexuality is a genetic trait that protects species from overpopulation.
It happens both from birth, and/or is learned at an early age when a small child is imprinting on things in life.
I imagine that a few people may choose to go that way for whatever reason, but the vast majority of people have no choice as to their sexual preference.
Very few people are totally hetero- or homo- sexual.
It doesn't have any link to beastiality. It doesn't have any link to sex with children. There are those who would like to say this though.

I still stand behind the belief that it is genetic. Research has shown that it is a gene which is passed down from the mother's side. And if this was not true, why are scientist spending so much time and money to destroy this gene? I do believe on the other hand that there are a handful of people who choose to venture to the dark side wither through a devastating situation or bad experience, but that is no where near the number of people who are born this way. I will continue to believe that it is genetic for as long as I live, and this is through my own experience.

Homosexuality can't not be a choice. There are steps one takes, conciously, or unconsiously, before taking the leap of having a homosexual partner partake in a homosexual experience with you. First, there is the choice to entertian what you have taken in with your sight. You can either let those go, and pray, or you can choose to entertain them, and get yourself to feel a certain way, or just the thoughts make you feel horny if you choose to dwell on them for a while. You can either choose to get rid of them, or choose to think on them. If you choose to lust, then before choosing to have sex with another man, you have to make the choice to talk to such man, then choose to ask him if he wants to choose to have sex with you. Choices come before every action you take, and actions happen all the time whether you choose them to happen, or unconciousely choose them to happen, but they are still YOU CHOOSING to DO them. That is how it is a choice to participate in a homosexual realtionships, or experience. Now, as far as actually being attracted, just because you can tell a guy or girl is attractive, doesn't mean you are gay. it means you have an eye for beauty, or what looks cool. You may be a dreamer, you may be an artistic person, whatever, but despite any of those, there are boundries that were never meant to be crossed in the first place to prove you are a moral, upright, non deviant person. It's not in the design, and does anyone really really really want, before God, famiy and friends to spend the rest of thier life with a person of the same sex? My hope would be no, but there are some seriously damaged, seriously issued out people who live in the world who have issues beyond what they can even know, or think of because of many reasons. Ususally, either they were raped as a child, molested, or have had horrible experiences, or weird parents who would condone things that weren't right. Take it from me, I used to be a homo :D

I must admit that I find it difficult to understand. I can understand women having a masculine trait and men having a feminine trait. I think I can understand a woman being trapped in a man's body and for a man to be trapped in a woman's body and the people that are hermaphrodite, where the sex isn't definitely defined. I can understand enforced homosexuality, for example in a prison environment, but that is as far as my understanding goes.

I believe homosexuality is biological. most of us know that we're different "gay" from childhood. In some gay relationships, you'll have a dominant masculine male or female partner and a submissive feminine male or female partner. This is there natural roles. The fem boys that you see, people say that there acting like women but they aren't "acting" thats how they are, there personality is more feminine and the voice will sound more feminine too sometimes but there boyfriends will appear "straight" masculine. You can't control who you are attracted too or fall in love with.

The people in power humiliate everyone else. They control our thoughts so that no one will suggest the real cause of homosexuality--that the father is not much of a man, so the son, still driven by a masculine desire to dominate, sees the mother as the dominant sex and so wants to become a woman. Anti-masculinity benefits the rulers because it takes a real man to stand up to them. To give another example, anti-smoking is purely caused by fear that a real Marlboro Man would defy his bosses. Do you think the people in power really care if we get cancer?
If men could become real men instead of economic cannon fodder, homosexuality would disappear. It is not a choice, it is not even an urge. It is merely a symptom of men not being able to stand up for themselves. So is feminism--women are driven to it by the disappearance of men who could satisfy them, so when they unnaturally are forced to dominate their wimpy husbands, the sons are driven further into pre-homosexuality.

I think it is totally up to an individual...some people for them it is their upbringing and some situations are "just is" ....one child can grow up to be homosexual and had the best upbringing....but I also know a girl who was rapped by someone close to her and now she is lost between bisexual and gay....so I don't know I think it all depends on the situation!
The one thing I must say is that I don't believe a religion should look down on homosexuals...to each their own...if it don't hurt another person then so be it....I believe we have many more problems in the world more important than to worry who is Fu^king who!
