If you are sexually active you should talk to your parents. I think you should wait to have sex but once you decide what you are goign to do then your mind is made up. But I would suggest the patch because you will only need to change it every week instead of having to remember to take your pill every day. If you are sexually active please make your partner wear protection also birth control doesnt always work!

No matter what your age birth control is different for everyone.Talk to your doctor. It is great that you would rather be on birthcontrol than take chances.I was 15 when I started taking bc.I was on a pill.It worked good for me for years. Some people would say just dont have sex till youre older, but I was 14 when I started having sex.Just be smart about it if you do have sex.Oh and remember you are young, dont get hurt like so many of these young girls do these days.Dont just protect yourself against pregnancy,USE CONDOMS.even if the guy you are with says he doesnt have anything,he may not even know. And some serious stds dont show up for yrs sometimes.BE CAREFUL.

No birth control is 100% effective. Don't have sex until you are ready to be a parent.

Condoms fail frequently, but will offer some protection against sexually transmitted diseases. If you are sexually active at 15, you're going to need that protection.

Remember, the diseases you acquire today may make you unable to have children when you ARE ready for them.

It depends on your lifestyle and body. It is best to consult a doctor and you need to talk to your mom she will probably take it better than you think especially since you are asking to get on birth control and not telling her you are already pregnant. They take that really hard.
