Normal temp, I can't find my nodes, no congestion. Only minor discharge from nose.

These are the symptoms for strep. Yes, that's what you have.
You can stop it dead on its tracks by taking prescribed antibiotics.

Do you get green sputum (spit)? If you don't, you will start soon. Yup. Then you are into the middle stage. Cough and fever with headache is bad. You can't even turn your head, it is that painful. Oh, it is nasty.

If it gets worse it takes about 3 or 4 weeks before it completely goes away. Why suffer? Plus you will pass it on to others in your home or at work. It is highly, highly contageous.

From the symtoms your describing it sounds like a case of strep throat, it could also be pharengitis a form of larengitis. It would be best to see you physicaian and get started on a five day dose pack or zythromicin ( Z-PAK). Being that it is saturday and you may not be able to see your doctor, try gargling with warm salt water every half hour to 45 minutes it reduces the swelling and eases swallowing. You can take Zinc lozanges which really help sooth the throat . Stay away from anything citrus and spicy and try drinking warm tea with honey. hop you feel better.

First thing is, do you have a fever? Do you still have your tonsils in? Do you have any food or insect allergies? If you look way back in your throat and you see round puffy things like little sponges one on either side of the throat. Those are your tonsils. When you get tonsilitis, your have severe throat pain, your tonsil may swell and try to meet in the middle which would make swallowing hard and breathing harder. If they have white spots on them all over you have tonsilitis. Or if your throat is really cherry red it couod be strep throat. Either way, the best thing to do is go to a clinic and have a throat culture done to rule out strep throat. Then stock up on sucrets, suck on ice, wrap warm towel around your neck. Gargle with warm water with 1 teaspoon of table salt mixed in, sip cold drinks. Good Luck

It sounds like you are starting to get strep. The fever shows up later as a means to fight the infection. If you are able to, have someone look at your throat using a flashlight. Have them see if it has white streaks. That is one sure sign of strep. I have a feeling you are going to have a crummy weekend. Gargle with warm salt water and plan on seeing the doctor Monday.

I just got over strep throat. Sort of sounds like you have it too. I did not run a fever the first day or so then I had a high fever around 102 degrees. Hope you feel better soon.

Anything that hurts that bad needs medical attention. Please see your doctor or go to a 24 hour non-emergent medical facility. I once had H-influenza B and it started like that. Unfortunately, by the next day it felt like I swallowed glass. I also had a temp of 104 and was unable to lift my head from the pillow without superhuman effort. Good luck, dear, but see a real doctor, please. Hope you feel better soon.

That sounds like tonsillitis or quinzy. Go have it looked at at the doctors and get the right treatment.

You may wish to have it checked by a doctor to make sure you don't have tonsillitis.
