is calgary cold in january and full of snow, as england is not and friend coming over is that part colder?

do you have lots of snow in calgary in january, as britain does not and got one of you guys coming over from that part of canada, is that part much colder than the others, mean calgary

Calgary is colder than England, but it's also drier.
England is warmer, but it's a moist cold.

Basically... they're both cold, but each needs different clothes.

Calgary can have water absorbing materials as clothes because the air is dry.
England needs water repelling clothes because it's wet.

Layering is vital in both places.
