It depends on how big he his and what position you two were in. It is possible that he was hitting the cervix, but usually that only gives (so I'm told) a dull thumping type of pressure, not usually pain.

Was the pain near the opening of your vagina? Then it could have been:

a) your hymen, or remanants of your hymen. If this was the first time you have had sex, your hymen may still have been there.
b) infected Bartholin's glands. You can tell if there is a yucky discharge when you pinch with your fingers around the opening.
c) a urethral infection. Run a finger from inside your vagina along the top wall. Does anything come out of your "pee hole?"

The cervix doesn't necessarily drop, although it may. That should have nothing to do with whether you feel him or not.
Are you "warmed up" - that is, do you two spend time in foreplay so that your vagina is lubricated? That might be the cause of pain. Also check your position so that you're not overly cramped or doubled over.

Sex feels good to a girl, because the man's penis rubs up against the G-spot. However, if you are experiencing pain, I think you have a tipped uterus. My mom has a tipped uterus and experiences what you have been feeling. If this is the case, sex will feel good if he doesn't go too deep. For women with tipped uteruses, the deeper the man goes, the more it hurts. If you are still experiencing these symptoms and not enjoying sex, I would talk to your doctor. Also let your man know about this, so he knows not to go too deep an to be gentle!

Yes, the penis does hit the cervix at times. I'm not sure if it is supposed to hurt though. Go to you gyn and get that checked out.

if its new for you, and you werent trying a new position, then that could be the case. the cervix can change position over time and childbirth.
