If you don't approach him about drugs first, then drugs will eventually approach him. Definately yes! Talk to him about the negative effects that drugs have.

It depends, do you think he is doing them? If so then scare him, take him to a drug rehab to talk with people about their experiences, then take him to a cemetary, let him know that this is where he could end up. I have a friend who was going through the same thing with her 12 year old. My father passed away and I told him we were going to meet my dad. When we got to the cemetary I pointed to my dads headstone and said "this is my dad, say hello." we sat down on a bench that was close by and talked one on one about drugs and how they affected my life. First, are you clean a sober? If you aare clean and sober it is easy. Then just tell him that drugs kill the heart and soul of the user. While it may be seductive and hip at the begining in the end you become just another hallow junkie

Oppurtunities are all around us: I often ask questions or make observations when we are watching a movie or show and there is a reference to drugs. Really it's okay to just sit him down and say "i want to talk to you about drugs." and go from there.

open mouth and.....speak....
he will have learnt about it in school i am sure....either from the teachers or the other kids.
i would encourage not being judgemental if you find out he is smoking weed unless you have any drug experience yourself (good or bad)...if you do have drug experience maybe you could share it with him at a later date, like when he is over 21 or sooner if you like, i mean i dont really care he is your son....

Just talk to him. Go on facesofmeth on the computer and show him the shocking faces of people who use meth. There are lots of websights that show how drugs damage you.

Watch the movie BLOW(johnny depp) with him and at the end say "and thats what happens if you do drugs."

i think you should sit at the family table and just say it is for an important reason and you should not yell or sound mean but be nice and calm

drive downtown show him the homeless people and say that's what happens when you do drugs just don't show him Al Pacino

take him out for a litter bit and just tell hime about drug better come from you then somebody ele.
