Now that is a very good question. Speaks volumes. Very good.
Whether you wear a white coat or a black coat or a brown coat or a yellow coat, or a red coat or a polka dot coat, there is a real live person underneath; a person just like you; a person just like me. Now that is patently true. People on the other hand are nuts. There is no rhyme or reason to the way they think. I don't even try. All I can do is what I can do. True love is color blind.

Everyone does not have a problem with interracial marriage....people just can't accept what is different (not all people) some of us are more open minded.....I have gay friends and a brother who is gay and doesn't have it easy at all....I have a sister in a interracial marriage (which is not just black and white) with a child both are happy with who they are and don't care what others think
Stupidity is stupidity

We've largely accepted the latter, but there is no correlation between the two. Interracial marriages are between a man and a woman, and therefore valid.
The radical homosexuals, OTOH, are trying to destroy marriage altogether.
As for your question, the "acceptance" is not as fast as you might believe. 14 out of the last 15 states "just said no" to The Homosexual Agenda in their states, in a courageous stand against in-their-face ridiculous special rights. Now, it will remain in those states Adam and Eve instead of Adam and Steve. The acceptance, you see, is not that quick, fortunately.

Personally I think love is love and that nothing should stand between it. If two people in love want to get married no matter what gender/religion/ethnical background they are...than they should be allowed to do it. I guess some people in this society are just pig headed and thick skulled. I've seen more people have an issue with gay/lesbian relationships and marriages in my life than I have seen people have a problem with interratial relationships and marriages.

In the society I live in, interracial dating and marriage is accepted, while gays and lesbians have a hard time being accepted.

Ignorance towards gays is HUGE here as well as interracial relationships, not to mention people against divorce, single parents, women who work, men who don't work that are supported by their wives, vegetarians and so on. Such as life. People judge people based on EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. All we could do is to teach our children, nieces, nephews, whatever you have, to respect others. You don't have to agree to someone else's life style, but show respect where it has been earned or not disearned I should say too.

I have several friends who are in iterracial relationships and I have not heard them complain about acceptance. If there is a problem, they ignore it and live their lives. I, personally, feel that who you fall in love with is your business. As long as you are causing no harm to anyone then it doesnt matter what other people thing.
