A law should be passed in this country to allow us to say what we want without the fear of reprisals

Free speech use to be one of our rights. But, now with the suspension of habeas corpus, if Bush doesn't like what you say he alone can declare you an "enemy combatant" and simply make you "disappear".

WHICH COUNTRY? You're probably asking about GB, but all the yanks will pile in unless you actually SAY so!
If you ARE talking about GB, then Yes, I quite agree. If it wasn't for all the bloody do-gooders a few years ago starting all this PC nonsense over stupid things like blackboards and manholes we'd all be a lot better off and people would know what we meant instead of having to guess at it, lest we said something in a way "which might offend". I couldn't care bloody less if I cause offense - if the cap fits, wear it. If it doesn't, then it's none of your business anyway, so shut up.[not you!!!]. That's the way I see it people, take it or leave it.
How come I'm like that - half a lifetime spent dealing with the general public!

i suggest you watch police state its on google video with all the rest of alex jon es stuff,it will tell you everything you wanna know.the point is that there shouldnt have to be a law passed for this slowly these rights are being taken from us you only gotta look at the usa with this patriots act its in violation of there constitution and not enough people are seeing the big picture out there or here. be informed watch this film people need to wake up to whats going on around them or it will be to late sounds kinda scaremongerish but just look it up for your self the info is out there for all to see and is not being covered by main stream media like i say dont take it from me look it up yourself.what gundy said above is fact .

Well, considering it's part of the First Amendment. It already has been, but some of the recent "laws" make that a dubious proposition.

Well we do have freedom of speech. I do not think there needs to be another law. I think people do have the responsibilities that come along with freedoms. Speaking ones mind is permitted but being dignified and respectful is expected...it is just good manners.
