the transfer case is engaged in constant 4 wheel drive
u might try locking in 4 wheel and driving several blocks on dirt and then disengaging into 2 wheel.. at that point back up to disengage front hubs approx 20 feet ...
front drive shaft turning at speed is not uncommon on chevys as long as front axel is dissengaged it wont harm anything !!

What flow case motor?? the full propullsion gadget from the transmission is gears--the two in 4 wheel or in 2 wheel. For some reason it extremely is no longer disengaging--is it a handbook or electric powered administration?? the two way stumble on a 4wd save and ask them to look--Ford has to cost for each motor vehicle that drives right into a provider bay--a private save would be friendlier and supply you an answer. despite the fact that if that's electrical powered--turn it qiuckly between 2 and four wheel--maybae the administration servo is caught. if that's so--specific--get it serviced. despite the fact that if that's a handbook administration stick--flow that lower back and forth and see if it frees up--according to hazard the rod is off--or broken. hi--stuff is going undesirable--can't pass much inexpensive whilst fixing 4wd automobiles. Ask the broking how long they're dispensed for troubleshooting the axles--they get 40 5 an hour and the regulation says they might desire to stay interior the dispensed timeframe or consume the time beyond regulation. It must be in writing and then ask why it HAS to take see you later--why an hour and a 0.5?? Why no longer an hour?? Are they smoking and eating coffee?? seems an hour ought to do it--basically looking in one spot.

I would say yes. Because when in 4x4 mode your wheels should lock in place for better grip. When in 2hi it should be front wheel driven making the shaft move..in regular mode the truck should switch to back wheel driven mode? non? LOL I don't know..thought I would come up with something smart.

in 2high the front drive shaft will not turn. in 2 high there is only power to the rear wheels. if you put it in 4 high or 4 low the front and rear drive shaft will turn.

It's got auto lock hubs. They engage, the front hubs at the wheels.
The only way to disengage the front axle is to put it in "N" for towing purpouses.

It's fine, and normal.
