When i click on a link the page either doesnt appear or it appears for a brief second then goes away again making it very difficult to view some websites.

I have turned off my pop-up blocker and tried again but that makes no difference, i have also tried disalbing my internet firewall but the problem keeps occurring. i also changed my internet options to their defaults (using internet explorer btw) but nothing works.

What browser are you using? You should check your pop-up blocker. That is quite possibly the issue.

Hmm thats tough. I would best suggest calling you manufacturer for tech support. Its always the safest way to go and you will know you are getting someone expiercencied. If you dont feel like talking to someone refer to your manual if you have one then check out the manufactures website (Ex. www.dell.com)
