The obvious possibility is you don't have your computer set up to take Yahoo as your homepage. Less obvious, but it happened to me once, is you have a virus that has taken over and will only permit one home-page and that is the one set up by the virus. About all you can do is wipe the hard drive and reload it from your recovery disc. If so, save everything you want to CD or removable drives first..

On my computer, if Iclick on Tools/Internet Options, there is a place to type in the home page. Or if you go to Yahoo.com then open Tools/Internet Options, it should say Yahoo.com in the window. Just click on Use Current.
Click on Apply and OK. That should do it.

maybe it wasn't programmed (Yahoo) as your homepage you can check it on your internet explorer

you either have a virus or an annoying piece of spyware. dowload, install and run "adaware". it should take care fo the problem
