check to make sure the vent is not clogged up with lint,, u could take the pipe off the back of the dryer and run it for a short period . Do this whithout any wet clothes in it and see if it starts to warm up,, if so, that is a good sign that the unit is cyclying on a high limit saftey switch , due to pipe clogged, and the vent pipe needs to be cleaned out.

I ran into this problem at the Washington City Mission. You have a part in the back of the unit where the gas line in attached. You need to turn off the gas, remove the gas hose. Then remove the "valve". You should find a different type screw on one side of it. Remove the screw but be sure to count the number of rotations it takes to remove it. You will need to replace it in the same number of rotations. I'm sure you'll find a very small piece of lint, just clean it out. Replace everything as you removed it. If you replace the screw with less rotations it will run a bit hotter, more, a bit cooler. I hope this works for you, it did me. Take care.

The most likely answer to your question is the ignition source for your dryer has failed. Most new ones have a hot surface ignitor. If this has broken or burned out it will cause these problems

I don't like the sound of that. You may have a leak or a faulty valve of some sort.
