Itunes posts two free songs to download each week. They're usually pretty good. Check out the bottom left "free downloads" section under Music in the Itunes Store.

If you have the patience and a program that records sound on your computer, you can grab music like that, provided you sit and listen to it all. I've never tried it, but I record sound clips from movies this way.
