How does it work?

No, Karma is just a superstion, with the air of religious mysticism to give it force. Mainly karma is a kind of poetic justice. It is supposed to affect your next life. For example, if you treated someone like a pariah, you would be treated like a pariah in your next life. Or, if you refused to speak to someone instead of forgiving them, you might come back as some kind of animal that couldn't speak or make any sound.

Sometimes Karma is supposed to affect you in THIS life. When it's meant this way, it's like 'everything that you do comes back to you'. People make excuses so that this kind of Karma appears to work. For example, suppose you took a few dollars tip off a table when no one was looking. That's bad karma for you. Then, say, the next day something bad happens to you. Someone might say it is Karma. But it's really just not connected.

The fact is, people don't always suffer for doing wrong. It's too bad, but that's the way it is, and no superstition about Karma is going to stop really bad people from doing really bad things.

So, you might as well just do GOOD things anyway, whether there is any karma or not. Why NOT do good things? There's not a whole lot of time to live anyway, so why not do GOOD?

hi, are you a chinese or buddhist? if not, you probably wldnt believe what a real karma is. a bad karma can comes back a million times that you can think of. a retribution is a form of a bad karma, it can make you or your friends, relatives or family members suffer. however, a karma normally occurs to the people around you and not yourself, that will really teach you a good lesson of how you mistreat people who likes you now. think about it, if bad things befall on your loved ones, you really will feel very bad about what happened and get guilty all your life. when karma comes, you wld wish that you wld rather be the 1 suffering from the bad things you did previously and not those innocent people around you. they suffer for nothing just become of what you did before. a true buddhist wld bear this in mind and try to do things that will not bring them karma in future. karma can also comes in your next life, making your life miserable when you recarinate. most importantly, do things that are clear of conscience.

well Karma literally means Actions. Based on your actions you get 'punya' if you do good and 'papa' if you do bad. Actions which i mentioned includes physical, verbal or mental.
So does it work, of course it does! Its a law of nature so to speak.
All your sufferings & sorrows are based from your past actions not only from this birth but also from the past.
So what you sow is wht u reap! To conclude, do good always:-)
