in Ice Age:The Meltdown (2006), why is Scrat, a creature that looked like a saber-toothed squirrel, continuing his quest to hold onto an acorn ? it's elusive.

it was the last acorn, or at least one of the last acorns on the entire plannet. this charecter was used for comical relief in the movie, they usualy slipped in a scene for scrat if nothing terribly funny happened for a while.

Maybe, it's Dreamworks' subliminal way of teaching kids about perseverance?

C'mon, Scrat is just a funny character that doesn't have any purpose, but, to add comic relief in between scenes.

because there are no more acorns around. it's the ice age! not the "spring-time-birds-chirrping" Age! there are no more freakin' acorns left. and even if there were... there buried under lots and lots of ice and snow! have some sympathy for the little guy!!!
