Well my dog pee"d on mine, so I took the cushions off, sprayed them really good with a spot remover, took a scrub brush very lightly over it, then I put my steam vac to work on it, I left the cushions on the floor so my steam vac would push down on it,(because of the foam) my couch looked awsome when I was done with it. sunnydays

Hi
You will need to do a test on the fabric to see if you can clean it. Be careful with what product you uses. I would use “Nature's Miracle” this is a liquid containing enzymes that feed on the organisms that give urine its odours. You can buy it at Petsmart.
First you will need to do is a test. To do the test spray the cleaner, using the back edge of the cushion spray a spot about the size of a quarter and wipe it with a white towel and let it dry on it’s own.
If you get colour transfer onto the towel it is not safe to clean.
If there is no change in colour and no watermark then it is safe to clean or spot clean.
If there is a watermark but no colour change it is safe to clean only thing is you will need to clean the whole thing. (to stop watermarks) you can not spot clean.
If you decide to clean it DO NOT do a lot of scrubbing on the fabric because you can cause damage to the fabric.
If you decide to spot clean only you can use a hair dryer to speed up the drying (less chance of leaving a watermark).
If you clean the whole sofa you are probably best to set up a fan to help dry the sofa.
Hope this helps

FIRST OFF. Forget everone else's answers to this question. dilute some generic spray cleaner with bleach and water enough so it wont mess with the color. Test on old shirt. Use that to clean the fabric thats under the cushion. Pour it on couch so it runs thru the couch so u know it got all of the pee. Rinse with water. Pat dry with toilet paper.Take the cushion covers off and dryclean those. Soak cushions with stronger bleach and water mix into the foam cushions. Press and squeeze it through like a sponge. let sit rinse with hose outside and let dry. Smell teat everything put all back together. Done. Sanitary. Fresh. Clean without a doubt. Screw that enzyme bullshit nature crap. You gotta dilute bleach period. I have kidney disease and have personally pissed all kinda of stuff in my sleep and had to clean it.
For a bed do the same. u gotta pour bleach dilute into it and rinse as best u can cause its thick. Put a fan on it. Do not over bleach bed.
This works
Good luck.

You can take the cover off the cushion and put it in the washer. Use the gentle cycle, or you can get it dry cleaned. As for the cushion inside the cover, you can use any stain remover found at the grocery store. Of course, there are stain removers that contain special enzymes that completely break up the urine and remove the smell. They sell those at pet stores or you can get it at wal-mart :)

Spray or dab with a cloth soaked in vinager & water (half & half), remove access with paper towel. Repeat a few times. The vinager is a natural cleaner that will neutralize the urine and wont harm your loveseat. The vinager smell will go away eventually. You could also try baking soda & water mixture. I have 3 kids-and I have been through this a few times...

Don't the covers have zippers on them for washing? Wash all the cushion covers at the same time so you don't have one a slightly lighter shade from the washing. Wash in cold water, don't put in the dryer. zip them back on when they are still a little damp so they still fit and let them dry.
