Depends on what you want from a site, If you just want something like this that pays, http://www.mylot.com/?ref=nancygibson is a question and answer site a bit like this one except you get paid for posting. I've made some really useful money already, and if you treat it as fun, the money is a really nice bonus. Its worked well for me so far and doesnt feel like work at all. So for me, thats a great site

for me it has to be amazon. It really paved the way for informative sites and interaction and public opinion, even though it was selling.
I look up most of my books, music, films info up on there.
and it all started in the garage, in true internet style!
