first of all, what is your monthly payment? unbilled is what you are charged if you go over the limits in your tariff.ie, if you use say for example your 100mins and you make another say 10mins of calls, the 10mins of calls goes into your unbilled summary.
if you are checking online then there is a part where your bill is explained.....might be worth a look.

current balance is your line rental you owe O2. They usually charge you a part month upto your billing date and a month in advance. The unbilled charge is for calls that you make that are outside of your free allowance.

First of all - O2 are awful to get in touch with - but you are going to have to phone customer services - do it when you can get free calls - I have been on the phone waiting for O2 to answer in that queueing system for up to 40 minutes!

OR - better still for the price of a stamp write to them - keep a copy of the letter, and ask them to phone you with an explaination.
