I am recently divorced ! 40 Yrs. Old.
Is it too late to go back to school ?
I have spent the last 15 years making sure my ex's life is perfect.
Do I sound confused? i have been manipulated and played with and found my self doing nothing and owning nothing

Go! Set a goal and then fulfill it. Age should not be a determining factor. You've spent enough time catering to others...so instead of letting their needs dictate to you, do your own manipulating and playing and get some satisfaction with life.

Its easier then you think. I got my Paralegal Certificate (3rd Bach.of Sci. degree) at 43, 12 years ago. Now the colleges make it easier for us older students to get in and since we have lost our study habits from years ago, there really is a different grading scale for us too since we cant compete with the kids right out of high school. But on the other hand we bring with us past education and a wealth of first hand experiences which no school could ever teach, thus I was able to actually teach some classes at the college. The other students come to you for guidance and tips on life so it was really fun once I adapted to being a "fatherly" student to most but there really is alot of older students back in school too. You can do it. Good luck

It is never too late! It is the start of something new for you and only you. Go for it you may be surprised to see how many adults are back in school. Just don't look back on the past look at 40, starting school and your new life as new start for the second half of a better life. :)

Good luck and success to you!

Ya know something that is an age old question. I have a great answer for you.I am a 32 yr. old mom of 4 kids and desperatly wish to go back to college and start learning to be a pastry chef. It is my dream to have my own shop. The way I see it is if you want to go back now GO!!! My kids are young still and I will be your age or older before I get to go. For all of us adults who want to go and have to wait by all means make it your time and have a great time learning what you want to be!!!
Good Luck and God Bless!!!

You are at a great age to be returning to school and making a better life for yourself. You want a better job, financial security and perhaps a more rewarding life. Going to college at this age will help you realize all of those goals. It sounds exciting. Good luck!

You are a free person! It is never to go back to school. It is very honorable. Stay focused and positive. Don't look back only look ahead at what great things are going to happen. When you are positive...your life is happy!

It's never too late. My mom is starting school now too and she has been married four times. You want to be able to support yourself and not have to depend on a man.

You are going to get older anyway so you may as well get older with a degree. Go for it. There are many students who are older in college now. Do something for yourself for once.
