I want to know why America thinks they rule the world???

When was it decided that America can tell the countries of the world what to do? What makes them think they are so great?
When it comes down to it, don't you think they are just the bullies of the world?
And before anyone says "we won WW2 for you", I'll let you into a little secret...................... You Didn't!
The American Services couldn't win a toy in a raffle! After all, did you know that it is actually the enemy you are supposed to kill, not the allies!

1. We don't want too. Never did. America has almost always been a country of isolationist; we want to be left alone, and we want to leave the rest of the world alone.

2. That was decided when other countries blamed the US for a. not putting up enough money or not sending enough troop in or not giving the UN enough money or troops. Not stopping this dictator or stopping the killing in (pick a country) or letting people starve in (pick a country).

What make us so great is the people who come to America to become Americans. Look at people we’ve let into our country. They came over and still do, (we just want people who follow the rules), many of those people were starving, poor. Most made a better life for themselves and their families. Some got very rich doing so. How many other counties could a poor person, make millions or billions?

3. Bullies? Let’s see the US give BILLIONS of dollars to counties that bad mouth us. If the US were bullies they would have taken over Mexico years ago along with Canada. Or they'd be extorting money from them.

4. You need to re-read history. I don't know what country you're from, don't care, but England would be speaking German right not if not for the US, the most of the pacific would be speaking Japanese. Did we do it alone? Of course not, we had help just like we help the allies, nor did you forget about lend lease, or the BILLIONS of dollars that were forgiven. Or the money gives to start up the economies of our allies. Or the former counties who fought against the US who were helped back on their feet because of the US?

Were there allied casualties because of mistakes? YES, in case you didn’t know in war mistakes happen, every country suffered from friendly fire.

If you're going to bash the US at least pick something worth bashing.

Your vision of America is skewed and totally WRONG.

We don't want to rule the world and we don't want to tell the world what to do. We want the people of the world to rule themselves instead of being raped murdered and indentured by tyrants.

I'm an arrogant American so I'll tell you what makes us think we're so great... Because we are the greatest nation on the face of the earth. Our people are free and prosperous. Our government is accountable to us and not the other way around. When something or someone threatens our way of life we fight for it. When our troops fight we win. (Vietnam was a military victory read up on it.)

If we didn't come to the aid of Europe when we did in WWII you would be speaking german right now. When we say this we're not holding it over your head as ransom we're only reminding you of what kind of people we are. We didn't have to fight Germany when we did. We had our own war with Japan to deal with. We were fighting 2 wars at one time.

When friendly fire incidents happen it is regretful and not intentional. Mistakes happen in everything. We are sorry for the friendly fire incidents I know that won't bring them back but it's all we can do is apologize.

Think of how this world would be without the brave men in the American services.... Think about it with an open mind. Remembering that we help with enormous aid during a natural disaster.

You are so mistaken. American Services CAN win, and generally DO win, when they are fighting other armies. The US army and marines and navy and air forces are supreme, now that the Sovs are kaput (depite Vlad Putin's delusions of adequacy).
The US runs into trouble when we try to use soldiers as policemen. See, our Army can kick the everloving crap out of any army in the world. We are technologically superior with a volunteer force of highly trained killers.
Unfortunately, the very traits that make effective killers are very very poorly suited to police work. If we were asking the US Army to "kill everyone in Baghdad", they'd have mission accomplished in a week, at most. However, if we are asking them to "make and keep peace in Baghdad", they will NEVER achieve success.
Armies only make the peace of the graveyard. They do not make the peace of Eutopia. That's always been true, but some of our leaders are ill-educated in history and politics.
So, the Americans don't think they RULE the world, hon. They are completely willing to let the lesser beings rule themselves for the most part.
Americans just think they can tell the rest of the world what NOT to do, at least on the international scene. And for the most part, they are right. It's just when they start getting into the internal affairs of these ferners that things get muddled and the killers start killing the "friendlies."

America dont think they rule the world. Other countries think so, coming to us (and getting) all kind of help. We are a very generous country.
As far as WW2, believe me WE WON, and unlike the Soviet Union, we left and did not occupy any country, an d I dont understand your last comment, about killing the enemies...are you still talking about WW2?, because as far as I know we don 't kill allies.
