This category doesn't waste my time. It is the most valuable resource in Yahoo! history. I learn so much in Polls & Surveys and treasure all the information I receive.

It is not a waste....! You improve you knowledge by surveying on many subjects. You get the job with a standard company. Pinecone research, Surveysavvy, Greenfieldonline are some of the larger survey companies, who pay regularly . Polls and surveys are good for analytical and research purposes. They can be helpful for governmental and other organizational research purposes like Census, SEC, etc. Sometimes you are rewarded in exchange for you input as well. They are very useful. So take the time to fill one out the next time you get one.

It depends on what you're polling and surveying for. Sometimes students get on here and do surveys for classes I suppose. What do they do with it? They use it as data in research. For example, they poll the President's approval rating, and then they use that data to figure out what to do next, or to change the game plan. That's what all data is used for, to test hypotheses.
